Counseling Center

What is a School Counseling Program?

The school counselor designs, delivers, and evaluates a developmentally appropriate comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social developmental needs of ALL students.

School counselors collaborate with students, families, and other educators to help students develop the skills needed to plan, make decisions, and adjust to their ever-changing world. College and career readiness for all students is an essential element. The program is delivered through the following components:

  • Guidance Curriculum
  • Individual Planning
  • Responsive Services
  • System Support
