ITCA’s Class of 2025 Graduates with Purpose and Professional Credentials

Stories & Spotlights
Class of 2025 ITCA Graduates

As another school year wrapped up, students across Idaho celebrated milestones and memories. At Idaho Technical Career Academy (ITCA), the moment held even deeper meaning. The future-focused online high school honored its Class of 2025, recognizing 27 graduates who collectively earned 147 industry certifications in high-demand fields.

The in-person graduation ceremony welcomed students, families, teachers and staff to commemorate an impressive year of hard work and achievement. More than half of the graduates attended the celebration in person, while others joined virtually or from their hometowns across the state.

More Than a Diploma: Students Graduate Future-Ready

ITCA’s Executive Director, Monti Pittman, addressed the graduates, encouraging them to reflect on what they’ve accomplished beyond just coursework.

“Some of you completed entire pathways in Business Management, Agricultural Leadership, Digital Communications and Medical Assisting,” Pittman said. “You aren’t just high school graduates; you’re career-ready professionals.”

Graduates received certifications in areas such as Adobe Creative Suite, Intuit QuickBooks, OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and more: credentials that align with Idaho’s workforce needs and open doors to jobs, internships and continued education.

Student Honors: Spotlight on Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Two standout students were honored during the ceremony for their academic excellence and leadership:

  • Job of Athol, ID was named valedictorian. In addition to academic success, he served as national secretary for the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Secondary Executive Council, earned the prestigious Ambassador Torch Award, and received a $1,000 scholarship from the National Technical Honor Society.
  • Jemelie of Twin Falls, ID earned the distinction of salutatorian. She graduated one year early and was active in both BPA and the Idaho FFA Foundation, serving as a state ambassador.

These students reflect the diversity of interests and strengths that ITCA empowers through its flexible, career-connected programs.

Preparing Students for What’s Next

ITCA’s Career and College Prep program blends online coursework with real-world application. Through pathways in Agriculture, Business, Health & Human Services and more, students gain hands-on experience while earning a high school diploma that leads to opportunities.

“These certifications are more than credentials; they’re doors to future opportunities,” Pittman said. “We’re proud to see our graduates leave with the tools to thrive in both higher education and the workforce.”

As a tuition-free, online public charter school serving students statewide in grades 9-12, ITCA offers an education model that adapts to individual goals and interests. For the Class of 2025, that meant closing out their high school experience not only with pride but with purpose, and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
